Vulcan Vents - Fire & Ember Vent Services

After the Palisades Fire, Graham learned that many homes ignited far from the wildfire’s front lines from traveling embers entering attics and foundations through oversized mesh vents. Having previously installed Vulcan Vents on custom new construction homes, he immediately recognized the importance of retrofitting existing homes in wildfire-prone areas.

Graham connected with the Vulcan Vents team and was excited to learn about their retrofit vent line. Following several virtual meetings, he traveled to Las Vegas to meet the team in person at the 2025 NAHB International Builders’ Show. After a successful meeting, Graham was invited to tour the manufacturing facility in Loomis, California, where he received a firsthand demonstration of the vents’ advanced technology and design.

The visit reinforced his belief that Vulcan Vents manufacture some of the most effective fire- and ember-resistant vents available—without sacrificing proper airflow. Unlike some competing products that can restrict airflow by 40% or more, Vulcan Vents reduce airflow by only a few percentage points.

With decades of construction experience, Graham understands that proper ventilation is critical to a home’s long-term performance. In regions with heavy rainfall, inadequate airflow beneath raised foundations can lead to moisture buildup and mold. In hotter climates, poorly ventilated attics trap heat, placing additional strain on HVAC systems and increasing energy costs. Vulcan Vents help safeguard homes against wildfire threats while maintaining the airflow necessary for structural health, efficiency, and comfort.

Graham Hallissey Construction is a licensed, bonded, and fully insured general contractor, handling the complete installation process—from gable and eave vents to dormer and foundation vents—delivering comprehensive, whole-home wildfire protection.
